New software extends EquineOps beyond the barn office, giving farriers the same business tools trainers already rely on — built for life on the road
Fort Collins, CO — June 29, 2026 — EquineOps today announced the launch of EquineOps for Farriers, a business management app purpose-built for mobile hoofcare professionals. The release extends EquineOps’ platform beyond the barn office and into the truck, giving farriers the same level of software support that trainers have used to run their operations.
Farriers have historically been left with the same choice trainers faced before EquineOps: generic invoicing tools, paper logs, or nothing at all. EquineOps for Farriers replaces that patchwork with a single mobile-first app that tracks the day-to-day realities of the trade — appointment scheduling, work performed, shoe and material inventory, and client billing — all from a phone or tablet between barns.
The app logs work with photo support so farriers can document each horse’s visit on the spot, and inventory automatically adjusts as materials are used, with low-stock alerts before a shop run becomes a problem mid-route. Invoicing connects to QuickBooks, and clients can pay by credit card directly from a sent invoice. Automatic SMS reminders cut down on missed appointments and last-minute rescheduling for both the farrier and the barn.
For farriers who already work with EquineOps trainers, appointment and horse records sync directly between the two — so a farrier’s visit shows up in the trainer’s records without either side re-entering information.
“Farriers run a business out of their truck, and they’ve never had software that respects that,” said Ryan Rushing, co-founder of EquineOps. “We built this the same way we built the trainer platform — around how the work actually happens, not how a generic app assumes it should.”
EquineOps for Farriers is available now to US-based farriers. Pricing starts at $24 per month for solo operators, with a Team plan at $44 per month for shops with up to five members. A free trial is available.
